This week we bitch a little bit about statistics (based on a message that I got this week). We are both getting over mild colds, so you might hear some sniffling and coughing in the episode. Oh well. In this episode Mike is in Wisconsin for a few days, so we actually got to record an episode under the same roof. We talk about disappointments, the first drink, playing the tape through and gratitude. We also take a trip down memory lane, back to when we and the other guys got "scared straight." And we ramble. Right. But that's implied.

We also dive into that first 30 days that we were sober and some of the challenges that we dealt with in early sobriety. We talk about the people who influenced us, we talk a little bit about relapse and trying to come to grips with that power greater than ourselves. We announce a new family member and we also talk some nonsense. But you probably expected that.

This is our first full episode, and we get to hear Mike's story. He goes into his past, and shares what it was like for him to get to where he is today. He talks a about AA and the 12 Steps, and he does it in a way that will appeal to everyone, regardless of what you did to get sober or what you do to stay sober. His message is powerful and provides hope. We also received some comments about the podcast, which we share. And we ramble, of course.

In this episode, you will get a behind the scenes listen of Mike and I trying to put this podcast together. To us, this is funny... but most importantly, I think we have the kinks and glitches worked out, so that we can be fully functional next week. I also share a story about a thought that I had today.
